After delving extensively into Street Art, we decided to take an active role ourselves. With permission from our school and the KUS network, we were allowed to design a wall within our school. We developed a concept for our own graffiti and began its implementation. The graffiti was meant to be aesthetically pleasing while also encouraging people to think about it. Our creative colleague, Wayne, designed the graffiti with great effort and attention to detail, professionally guiding us during the implementation on the wall. It was a valuable experience that showed us that Street Art is much more than just illegal graffiti spraying. It is an expression of creativity, social concerns, and individual identity. We are proud to have been part of this inspiring art movement and hope that our project encourages others to delve deeper into Street Art and find their own creative voice.
Our school project on Street Art was an incredible adventure that allowed us to dive deep into the fascinating world of this art form. Over the past six months, we have extensively explored Street Art in Vienna and the overall subject matter, encountering a multitude of impressive insights and works. As a team, we discussed and implemented colors, social media, website, and other content by dividing into four smaller teams. Our teamwork was always on fleek. During our research, we discovered that Street Art in Vienna is not only seen as illegal graffiti spraying but also as a recognized art form that enriches the cityscape. Many artists have their roots here and utilize Vienna's streets as their canvas to express their creative messages. The streets of Vienna are filled with Street Art, ranging from the vibrantly painted facades in the Spittelberg district to the creative graffiti tags along the Danube Canal promenade.
